Overview 

The small state of Alabama packs an interesting mix of natural features. Within its 250-mile range are the Appalachian foothills, beaches, bayous, lakes, waterfalls, and fast-flowing rivers. In between are some of the most varied industries on the planet, ranging from farmlands to demagogues and space stations. The municipality of Leeds tries to embody as much as it can by being part of at least three counties. Leeds is part of the Shelby, St. Clair, and Jefferson Counties. It is also largely considered a suburb of Birmingham, where some of the most concentrated industries can be found. 

Exploring the City 

The Birmingham International Airport serves Leeds and its nearby cities. Flights are offered by carriers such as United Express, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, and American Airlines. The airport’s immediate proximity makes any point in Leeds a convenient place to stay in. Restaurants and hotel accommodations can be found in the airport. Amtrak offers rides daily from New York, Atlanta, and New Orleans. Amtrak buses connect Mobile and Birmingham, while greyhound serves the cities like Leeds. Tourist Attractions 

The Arlington Antebellum Home and Gardens has helped in the region’s development. The attraction provides an inexpensive yet interesting way to learn the city’s civil rights struggle, heritage, and rich history. Several museums can also be found onsite. The Birmingham Museum of Art, Southern Museum of Flight, Vulcan Statue and Museum, and the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum and Motorsports Park all offer meticulously kept artifacts. The latter features exhibit on superbike and Formula One Racing. 

Things to Do 

Families will love the 25 main attractions of the Alabama Adventure Theme Park. Kids can ride Alabama’s largest wooden roller coaster, or simply enjoy a carousel ride. The beautiful rivers and creek of TanneHille Park are rife for kayaking and boating activities. Guests with sophisticated tastes can watch the latest drama installments and musical plays of the Virginia Samford Theater. Bird watching activities can be found in the Ruffner Mountain Nature Center.
